What are Alpha brain waves?

Alpha is responsible for processing information and transitioning into the other brain waves. It is also responsible for mindfulness and calm/engaged focus, like meditation.

Not enough alpha activity can indicate difficulty transitioning from a sense of relaxation (slow wave energy) to a sense of action (fast wave energy).

Depending on the prominence and location of alpha, can indicate depressive feelings as well as trouble with attention.

Work on your own alpha training at home with meditation or binaural beats!
