Are there any side effects from neurofeedback?
You can think of neurofeedback training as strength training for your brain, where you gradually increase the load and intensity to build up your “mental muscles” over time. With any strength training, there are periods of discomfort, growth, and adjustment.
Some effects of neurofeedback training one can experience are headaches, fatigue, and irritability, depending on what is being trained. Effects usually are more prominent in the beginning stages of training and dissipate within a few days.
